State Minister for Religious retrieves 'Nexus' book given as gift to award-winning Hafezes

Following directives from Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, State Minister for Religious Affairs Mohammad Shamim Kaysar retrieved copies of the book titled Nexus, which had been presented as gifts to Bangladeshi Hafezes who won awards at the 46th King Abdul Aziz International Holy Quran Competition in Saudi Arabia.
The State Minister collected the books directly from the award-winning Hafezes at his Secretariat office on Sunday afternoon.
The books were originally distributed alongside other gifts during a reception hosted by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman at the Cabinet Division conference room in the Bangladesh Secretariat on September 17, 2026, to honor the Quranic scholars.
Explaining the retrieval, State Minister Mohammad Shamim Kaysar stated that prompt administrative measures were executed under the Prime Minister's explicit instruction to take back the publication. He reassured the public that all other government commitments announced during the reception—including funded international tours and developmental assistance for the winners—remain fully active and on track for implementation.
Award-winning Hafezes Muhammad Zakaria, Sheikh Mohammad Mahmudul Hasan Ashrafi, Rabita Binte Ramadan, and Musfira Binte Mahmud, along with their respective teachers, were present during the book retrieval at the ministry. The students had achieved distinction at the 46th King Abdul Aziz International Holy Quran Competition held in Saudi Arabia in August 2026.
