In an innovative culinary initiative, specialized food outlet 'Khichuri Mohol' officially opened its doors in Faridpur city on Monday afternoon.

Journalist Mahbub Hossain Pial, General Secretary of Faridpur Press Club and President of the Faridpur District Khichuri Festival Celebration Committee, inaugurated the eatery by cutting a ribbon opposite the Diabetic Hospital in the city's Jhiltuli area.

Along with traditional beef khichuri, the establishment offers buffalo meat khichuri—a novel addition that the entrepreneurs hope will become a major attraction for local food enthusiasts.

Directors of Khichuri Mohol, Md. Rakibul Hasan and Md. Kawsar Munshi, were present at the opening along with Director of Faridpur Tour & Travels Rajan Sardar, RSPL H BD Territory Manager Aminul Islam Apon, Director of Padma Mobile Zone Md. Suman, and content creators R. K. Najmul and Sabbir Hossain, among others.

"We have introduced buffalo meat khichuri for the first time in Faridpur. To our knowledge, no such initiative has been taken here before. Alongside buffalo meat khichuri, beef khichuri is also available. We hope this unique initiative will generate a great response among local food lovers," stated Md. Rakibul Hasan, Director of Khichuri Mohol.

The management has fixed the price of a platter of buffalo meat khichuri at Tk 150, while beef khichuri is priced at Tk 140 per platter.

Expressing his delight, a customer named Tanveer Nahid remarked, "We are excited to see such a unique culinary setup in Faridpur. The quality of the food is excellent. The most attractive aspect is having the opportunity to try buffalo meat khichuri for the first time, and the accompanying chutney is equally delicious."

The organizers expressed optimism that the venture will introduce new flavors to local gastronomy while adding a distinct dimension to Faridpur's food scene.
