Minister Sheikh Rabiul Alam donates ACs to Bagerhat Press Club

To facilitate the professional duties of local journalists and improve working conditions at the Bagerhat Press Club, two air conditioning units gifted by Sheikh Rabiul Alam, MP, Minister of Road Transport and Bridges, Railways, and Shipping, were officially handed over on Sunday night.
Bagerhat District BNP Joint Convener Khadem Niyamul Nasir Alap and Convening Committee Member Hadiuzzaman Hero handed over the units on behalf of the minister on November 1, 2026.
The handover ceremony was attended by Bagerhat Press Club President Abu Sayeed Shunu, Vice-President S. M. Raj, General Secretary Hedayet Hossain Liton, Joint General Secretary Yamin Ali, alongside Executive Committee Members Md. Ariful Islam, Md. Ali Akbar Tutul, S. S. Sohan, Molla A. Rab, Sohel Rana Babu, Syed Shawkat Hossain, and other local journalists.
Addressing the event, Khadem Niyamul Nasir Alap and Hadiuzzaman Hero noted that Minister Rabiul Alam, a native of Bagerhat, holds the portfolio of three vital ministries simultaneously—a historic first for the district. They highlighted that as an alumnus of a journalism department, the minister extended the gift out of professional affinity and commitment toward media workers.
Leaders of the Bagerhat Press Club expressed their sincere gratitude to Minister Sheikh Rabiul Alam for the gesture aimed at enhancing the infrastructure of the local press facility.
