Beat policing meeting held at initiative of Zorarganj Police Station to maintain law, order

A beat policing meeting was held at the initiative of Zorarganj Police Station to raise public awareness about preventing drugs, theft, robbery, kidnapping, juvenile gangs and maintaining law and order. The meeting was held at Zorarganj Union and Ichakhali Union of Mirsarai Upazila on Saturday afternoon.
The meeting was presided over by Jorarganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Halim. Political figures from various unions, social and general public were present at the time.
At the meeting OC Abdul Halim said, "To eliminate social ills like drugs, gambling and online gambling from the society, everyone has to work together. He also mentioned that a coordinated initiative of families, educational institutions, public representatives, law enforcement agencies and local people is needed to protect the youth from misguidance."
Also, there was a discussion about what can be done to prevent theft, robbery, mugging, and juvenile gangs. He requested to build social resistance against these crimes and provide information to the police.
