‎Police  raided a residential hotel named Mitali Guest House in Mirzapur, Tangail and arrested two women and a hotel manager for involvement in immoral activities.

 The raid was conducted led by  UNO  Md. Ariful Islam in the Hatubhanga area of Gorai Union of the upazila on Friday night. Mirzapur Police Station OC Muhammad Rashedul Islam was present at the time.

‎The arrested are the hotel manager Md. Shahjahan (45), son of Mostafa Miah of Sunaimuri village of Sunaimuri police station in Noakhali district, the two women are Lamia (30), daughter of Ismail Hossain of Humgaon village of Dhobaura police station in Mymensingh district, and Soniya Akter (30), daughter of Mintu Miah of Kotayali police station in Barisal district.

‎It is learned that there are allegations that women have been running a business for a long time in addition to residential business at Mitali Guest House in Gorai Industrial Area. After learning about the matter, the Mirzapur Upazila administration conducted a raid there on Friday night. During the raid, police arrested 14 people, including two women and the manager of the guest house, on charges of involvement in immoral activities. Later, after verification, the police released 11 people. A case has been filed under the Human Trafficking Act against the two women and the hotel manager who were arrested for their involvement in the crime.

‎In this regard, Mirzapur Police Station OC  Muhammad Rashedul Islam said,  after verification among the arrested people, a case has been filed under the Human Trafficking Act against the two women and the hotel manager for their involvement in the incident. He said that they will be sent to jail through the Tangail court on Saturday.
