RAB has arrested 11 members of the juvenile gang 'Jalal Group' in two separate raids in Shahjahanpur, Bogura. During this, a large quantity of local weapons, mobile phones and SIM cards, including 11 chapatis, a Burmese knife, a Chinese axe, a knife, a spear and 13 Yaba tablets, were recovered from them.

A team of RAB-12's CPSC Bogura arrested them in separate raids in Talpukur Para and Hatkhola Para of Shabrul in Ashekpur Union of Shajahanpur Upazila on Wednesday morning.

According to information provided by RAB, a raid was conducted in Talpukur Para around 3 am based on a secret tip-off and a person named Bappi Hasan (21) was arrested. Two iron chapatis, 13 Yaba tablets, two Android mobile phones and a SIM card were recovered from him.

Then, around 5 am, separate raids were conducted in Hatkhola Para and Yusuf Pramanik (22), Jalal Mandal (38), Rabbi Hasan (22), Mehedi Hasan (23), Ripon Pramanik (27), Akash Pramanik (19), Shuvo (20), Qayyum Pramanik (19), Kausar Hossain (20) and a 14-year-old child involved in conflict with the law were arrested.

At that time, 9 iron machetes, a Burmese knife, a Chinese axe, a knife, a spear, five Android mobile phones and 11 SIM cards were seized from them.

RAB said that the arrested persons have been handed over to Shahjahanpur Police Station along with the seized evidence to take legal action against them.

RAB's CDMS verification found information about the presence of accused in a case filed against Bappi Hasan in Shahjahanpur Police Station in 2024. In addition, information was found against Jalal Mandal in three cases filed against him in Kahalu, Bogra Sadar and Shahjahanpur Police Stations in 2023 and 2019. These include cases of fighting, attempted murder, extortion, and drugs and arms acts.
