19th death anniv of Khorshed Jahan Haque observed in Dinajpur

A prayer gathering and discussion meeting were held to mark the 19th death anniversary of Chocolate Apa, Khurshid Jahan Haque, the elder sister of former Prime Minister and pioneer of Dinajpur's development Begum Khaleda Zia, and former Minister of Women and Children Affairs.
 
From Saturday (14th June) morning, BNP and its affiliated organizations' leaders and activists visited the grave of Khurshid Jahan Haque (Chocolate Apa) in separate groups.
 
Quran recitation took place at the district BNP office from morning till noon. Later, a prayer gathering was organized at the district BNP office on Jail Road in memory of Chocolate Apa's 19th death anniversary. After the prayer session, food was distributed among the underprivileged and poor people.
 
Present at the event were Chocolate Apa’s elder son Shahariar Akhtar Haque Don, Central Executive Committee member and former MP Akhtaruzzaman Mia, Dinajpur District BNP President Advocate Mofazzal Hossain Dulal, Acting General Secretary Murad Ahmed, Vice-President Akhtaruzzaman Jewel, Organizing Secretary Aminul Islam Munna, and former Joint Convener and member of Dinajpur District BNP Mostafa Kamal Milon, among others.
 
Besides , on the occasion of the death anniversary, several programs were organized by Dinajpur Zia Heart Foundation Hospital and Research Institute, Mozammel Haque Institute of Kidney Diseases, and Khurshid Jahan Haque Institute of Cancer Research and Hospital.
