
3-day Kabaddi training for girls ends in N'ganj

With the joint cooperation of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and UNICEF Bangladesh, the Narayanganj District Sports Office organized a three-day kabaddi training for girls. The training concluded on Wednesday (21 May) at Haji Pande Ali High School in Bhuiyaghar, Fatullah.
The training, which started on Monday (19 May), aimed to increase adolescent girls’ participation in sports, helping build confidence and leadership qualities. During the training, participants gained practical knowledge of basic kabaddi techniques, physical preparedness, and team spirit.
Present during the event were District Sports Officer Farzana Akter Sathi, UNICEF representatives, members of the school management committee, teachers, sports trainers, and parents of the participants.
The overall coordination was led by Nazmunnahar, Research Officer at the District Education Office, Narayanganj, and Shishir Kumar Bala, Head Teacher of Haji Pande Ali High School, Bhuiyaghar. They delivered valuable speeches on the importance of sports in the development of girls.
District Sports Officer Farzana Akter Sathi expressed hope that such initiatives would help shape the next generation into healthy, confident, and capable citizens and declared the closing of the event.
