In Siddhirganj, Narayanganj, a teenager named Abdullah Khan Raihan (16) was stabbed to death. In connection with the incident, a murder case has been filed at Siddhirganj Police Station, naming 8 suspects and 7-8 unidentified accused. On Saturday (May 24), the victim’s father, Md. Samim Khan (42), filed the case. The murder took place on Friday night in the Dhankunda area of Godnail.

Meanwhile, RAB-11 and local police conducted separate operations and arrested 4 people involved in the murder—two from Godnail and two from the Mizmizi Painadi area. The arrested are Md. Hudoy (30), Sabbir (18), Al-Amin (20), and Zahid (18). The police have sent 3 of them to court seeking a 7-day remand, while the fourth gave a statement under Section 164 in court. The deceased, Abdullah Khan Raihan, lived with his family in a rented house of Atabar Sikder in Godnail North Dhankunda area.

According to the FIR, Abdullah Khan Raihan worked with his father at an AC servicing shop. On his day off, Friday afternoon, he went out with friends to the DND Lake area. During the outing, accused Mehedi and Shuvo came there, and due to a previous altercation, they started arguing and fighting with Raihan and his friends. Shuvo then called Paitu Hridoy, Atik, and Al-Amin to join them.

When Raihan and his friends tried to leave, Hridoy, Sabbir, and Zahid caught them and took them to Hridoy’s club around 7:30 pm. There, a chaotic fight broke out. At one point, Paitu Hudoy stabbed Abdullah Khan Raihan in the left side of his chest with a switchgear knife, causing serious injury. Raihan fell to the ground.

People rescued him and took him to the local Sufia General Hospital for first aid, then to Narayanganj Khanpur 300-bed Hospital. Later, he was referred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Siddhirganj police station officer-in-charge Mohammad Shahinur Alam confirmed the incident and said efforts are ongoing to arrest the other accused.
