75 GPA-5 achievers honoured in Sandwip by Weekly Alokito Sandwip

As part of its tradition, the weekly Alokito Sandwip newspaper has once again honored 75 meritorious students who achieved a GPA-5 in the SSC or equivalent examinations from various educational institutions of Sandwip.
The felicitation ceremony and career guideline workshop took place on Saturday at 10:00 AM in the hall room of the Sandwip Upazila Parishad. The program was presided over by the newspaper's editor and publisher, Principal Moktader Azad Khan.
Alamgir Hossain Thakur, Member Secretary of Sandwip Upazila BNP, was present as the Chief Guest. Among the special guests were Nizhum Khan, President of the Bangladesh College Teachers’ Association, Sandwip Branch, and A.K. Fazlul Karim Babul, General Secretary of the Bangladesh Teachers’ Association, Sandwip Branch.
The event commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran by Maulana Muhammad Shahadat Hossain. The program was conducted by Kazi Delwar Hossain, General Secretary of the Bangladesh College Teachers’ Association, Sandwip Branch.
Distinguished guests who addressed the event included Dr. Mozammel Hossain, President, Sandwip Press Club, Asif Akhtar, Convener, Enam Nahar High School Mor Business Association, Kazi Anwar Hossain, President, Secondary Assistant Teachers’ Association, Sandwip Branch, Rezaul Karim Riyad, Lecturer of English, Sandwip Model School and College,
Sayed Mahmud, Manager, Delta Immigration and Mamunul Islam, Teacher, Bauria Golam Khalek Academy, among others.
Speakers encouraged the GPA-5 achievers to continue their academic excellence with integrity and moral values, and to grow into well-educated and responsible citizens. They also emphasized honoring parents and teachers and nurturing a spirit of patriotism.
Each of the honored students received a congratulatory memento, certificate, and books.
