The admission test for the ‘A’ Unit (Faculty of Science) for the 2024–25 academic year was held at Pirojpur University of Science and Technology (PUST). The exam took place from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday  at the academic building and a sub-center at the local Government Women’s College. 

Later that day, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, the admission test for the Department of Architecture under the same unit was also conducted.

According to university authorities, the attendance rate for the exam was 86 percent. This marked the conclusion of the GST cluster admission tests for the 2024–25 session. The tests were conducted peacefully across 21 centers, including 19 universities under the GST cluster, as well as the University of Dhaka and Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University. Over a thousand students took part in the admission test at the Pirojpur center alone.

During the examination, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Shahidul Islam visited the examination centers and control room. Pirojpur Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Ashraful Alam Khan, Principal of Pirojpur Government Women’s College Sheikh Rafiqul Islam, and Additional Superintendent of Police Mohammad Abdul Awal were also present.

Vice-Chancellor Dr. Md. Shahidul Islam stated that the university administration provided various support services for candidates, including a help desk, rest areas and safe drinking water for guardians, as well as ambulance and emergency medical teams. He also thanked the law enforcement agencies for their sincere efforts in ensuring a smooth and secure examination process.
