Ansar-VDP DG inspects security preparations

The Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (VDP) has deployed extensive security measures across the country to ensure a peaceful, seamless, and festive celebration of Sharadiya Durga Puja.
As part of these measures, Ansar-VDP Director General Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud inspected security preparations and field-level operational duties on Thursday.
While visiting the Dhanmondi Sarbajanin Puja Udjapan Committee mandap in the capital, the Director General reviewed overall security arrangements and exchanged views with deployed Ansar and VDP personnel. Expressing satisfaction with the operational readiness, he emphasized maintaining maximum vigilance, professionalism, and discipline.
The Director General stated that modern technology is being effectively integrated into this year's Durga Puja security operations. Deployed personnel are connected through the 'Sharadiya Suraksha App'—a technology-driven management tool that facilitates real-time field monitoring, information sharing, and rapid coordinated action. He called upon all relevant agencies to work in unison to prevent sabotage, untoward incidents, or public disruption.
He added that alongside law enforcement agencies, public awareness and cooperation are key to maintaining religious harmony and community goodwill.
With an organizational strength exceeding 60 lakh members, the Bangladesh Ansar and VDP has deployed over two lakh trained personnel nationwide for Durga Puja. Based on the sensitivity and importance of various mandaps, 104 striking teams from Ansar Battalions have been placed on patrol duty to handle emergencies.
Digital surveillance, modern tech tools, inter-institutional coordination, and strict discipline are being maintained across mandaps in Dhaka and other districts. Overall security activities are being closely monitored to ensure immediate responses to any situation.
The Bangladesh Ansar and VDP expressed confidence that with the combined support of the administration, law enforcement, puja celebration committees, and citizens, Durga Puja will be celebrated safely and joyfully across the country.
