Anti-Corruption Debate Competition held in Kalapara

A debate competition titled "Anti-Corruption Debate Competition-2025" was held in Kalapara, Patuakhali, under the theme "Take an Oath of Patriotism, Say No to Corruption." The event took place on Tuesday at 10:00 AM in the Kalapara Upazila Parishad Auditorium ‘Payra’.
Students from Khepupara Government Model Secondary School, Khepupara Girls’ Secondary School, Kashem Ali Khan Residential School, and Lalua Janata Secondary School participated in the competition.
In the first round, the topic was "The decline of family values is the root cause of the spread of corruption," where Kashem Ali Khan Residential School and Khepupara Girls’ Secondary School emerged victorious. In the final round, debating the topic "The lack of values and patriotism leads to the spread of corruption," the team from Kashem Ali Khan Residential School won the championship. Salsabil Raiyan from the same school received the Best Speaker award.
The event was organized by the Patuakhali Integrated District Office of the Anti-Corruption Commission and the Kalapara Upazila Branch of the Corruption Prevention Committee.
Kalapara Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Md. Robiul Islam distributed awards to the winners and all participants. Upazila Academic Supervisor Md. Moniruzzaman Khan also spoke at the event.
The judges for the competition were Md. Abdul Khaleque, retired teacher of Khepupara Govt Model Secondary School; Namita Rani Datta, retired teacher of Khepupara Girls’ Secondary School; and Nesaruddin Ahmed Tipu, Assistant Professor at Kalapara Women’s Degree College. The moderator was cultural organizer Mostafa Zaman Sujan.
