Prompt administrative action has been taken against Delwar Hossain, an assistant teacher at 87 No. Abbas Ali Government Primary School in Bhedarganj Upazila of Shariatpur, for physically assaulting and injuring the school's headmaster.

The disciplinary action was executed following direct instructions from the State Minister for Primary and Mass Education, Bobby Hajjaj on Sunday.

According to an office order issued by the District Primary Education Officer (DPEO), Delwar Hossain has been temporarily suspended from his post under the Government Servants Act, 2018. The suspension follows a preliminary probe that found credible evidence supporting the allegations of assault.

The DPEO's inquiry report stated that an investigation committee was formed immediately after the untoward incident at the school. The committee visited the spot, recorded testimonies from eyewitnesses, interrogated the concerned individuals, and reviewed relevant evidence.

Highlighting the government's stance, State Minister Bobby Hajjaj asserted, "There is absolutely no room for violence, misconduct, or indiscipline within educational institutions.

The State Minister also extended his sincere thanks to the media for their responsible reporting on the incident.
