Ten workers from four departments of Nilphamari Municipality have each been given a bicycle on Tuesday noon.
The bicycles were handed over to the workers at the municipality premises by Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Nayiruzzaman.
Present at the event were Nilphamari Municipality Administrator and Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Md. Saidul Islam, Executive Engineer of the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) Firoz Kabir, Municipality Executive Engineer Tarik Reza, Executive Officer Moshiur Rahman, and Accounts Officer Golam Mostafa.
Municipality Administrator Saidul Islam said, this initiative was taken to facilitate the transportation of workers and to speed up municipal work. One bicycle each was given to ten workers from the tax, water supply, engineering, and health departments
