BNP was fighting for democracy,  not power :MP Nurul Amin

Mirsarai (Chattogram) Correspondent

Chittagong-1 (Mirsarai) parliamentary constituency MP Nurul Amin said that BNP did not struggle for power but for democracy. It fought to restore people's voting rights.

He made these remarks at a brief rally following a rally in Mirsarai on Wednesday afternoon to mark the founding anniversary of the Jubo Dal.

Sirajul Islam, convener of Jorarganj Thana Jubo Dal, presided over the rally.

The event was moderated by Mirsarai Thana Jubo Dal Chief Coordinator SM Sumon and was attended by, among others, Mirsarai Upazila Parishad former Vice Chairman Moin Uddin Mahmud, Upazila BNP former member secretary Gazi Nizam Uddin, former general secretary Md. Alamgir, current member secretary Azizur Rahman Chowdhury, Chittagong North District Volunteer Dal convener Sarwar Uddin Selim, Mirsarai Thana Jubo Dal coordinator Harun Or Rashid, along with leaders of BNP, Jubo Dal, Volunteer Dal and Chhatra Dal.

Nurul Amin pointed to Jamaat-e-Islam and said, "Those who were our allies for 17 years to bring down the fascist Hasina, they said that the Yunus government would remain in power for 5 years. But in the last national election on February 12, the people of the country voted for BNP with a huge majority, making it clear that there is no alternative to Tarique Rahman in running the country. The conspiracy is not over yet. Therefore, everyone must be vigilant."

A colourful rally was taken out before the rally. The rally visited various important places on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway.
