Body of child found after 5 days of missing in Gafargaon

Police recovered the body of a child named Alif Khan (6) after five days he went missing in Pagla Thana area of Gafargaon upazila of Mymensingh.
At around 5 pm on Sunday, Pagla Thana police recovered the body of child Alif from the local Wasim's fish farm. A local woman found a part of the red shirt worn by child Alif at the base of a palm tree and informed the people around.
Earlier, on June 18, child Alif went missing from the Abul Hashem Khan High School grounds near the house at around 1:15 pm.
Child Alif is the only son of Md. Kanan Khan and Papri Akhter couple of Swaplchapila village of Tangab Union under Pagla Thana of Gafargaon.
Father Kanan Khan and mother Papri Akhter were distraught after the body of their only child Alif was recovered. The mother is losing consciousness repeatedly after seeing her child's body. Pagla Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ferdous Alam confirmed the recovery of child Alif's body and said that the child's body has been sent to the morgue for autopsy.
