BUET’s Prof Sabbir Mostafa appointed Dhaka WASA chairman for three years

Prof Md Sabbir Mostafa Khan of BUET has been appointed chairman of the Dhaka WASA board for three years.
The local government ministry issued a gazette notification on Sunday confirming the appointment.
A professor in BUET’s Department of Water Resources Engineering, Prof Sabbir has more than two decades of teaching and research experience.
He specialises in drainage, hydrologic, hydrodynamic and morphological modelling, as well as environmental and social impact assessments and climate statistics.
He has worked on ADB-funded riverbank protection projects and coordinated a joint BUET-CAS research project.
He has more than 30 publications in local and international journals and conference proceedings.
