A rally was held in memory of all martyrs killed in the July-August movement and in protest against the harassment case and arrest of Mirza Prince Ali, General Secretary of Momin Khair Hat Bazaar Management Committee, organized by the Momin Khair Hat Bazaar Management Committee of Char Madhabdia Union in Faridpur Sadar Upazila.
The rally was held on Friday night at Momin Khair Hat Rice Market. The rally was presided over by Ashraful Alam Phool Khan, General Secretary of North Channel Union BNP, and the chief guest was Mirza Saiful Islam Azam, President of Char Madhabdia Union BNP and former UP Chairman.
Among others present at the rally were 7 No. Ambikapur Union Parishad Chairman Md. Nurul Alam, former President of Momin Khair Hat Bazaar Management Committee Abdul Mannan Bepari, eminent businessman and heroic freedom fighter Rezaul Karim Molla, President of Momin Khair Hat Bazaar Management Committee Rezaul Karim Bepari, General Secretary of Momin Khair Hat Bazaar Management Committee and President of Nationalist Expatriate Party Faridpur District Branch Mirza Prince Ali, Mohan Mia High School Head Teacher Abu Sayem Molla, Madhabdia Moyez Uddin High School Assistant Teacher Sarowar Hossain, Advocate Bashir Mia, Ward BNP General Secretary Jamal Molla, BNP leader Abul Kashem Sheikh, Krishak Dal Char Madhabdia Union President Surjo Khan, Khokon Molla and other leaders and a large number of common people.
The rally began with recitation from the Holy Quran and one minute of silence was observed in memory of all martyrs killed in the July movement.
