Uncle stabbed to death by nephew in Sundarganj

 Uncle Ziaurul was stabbed to death by his nephew over a dispute with mango orchard in Sundarganj upazila of Gaibandha.
 
 The deceased's wife and son were injured in the incident. They have been admitted in critical condition at Rangpur Medical College.
 
 
The incident took place at around 10 pm on Friday in Belka (Majhabari) village, Taluk, Belka Union of the upazila.
 
The deceased, Ziaurul Islam (44), is the son of the deceased Zafar Ali of the same village. The accused, nephew Saiful Islam (22), is the son of Ziaurul's brother Ibrahim Ali.
 
According to police and local sources, there was a dispute between the two brothers over family matters. As a result, Saiful entered his uncle Ziarul's house on Friday night and stabbed his uncle on the left side with a sharp knife. He died on the spot. His wife Achma Begum (35) and son Ismail Hossain (17) came forward to save Ziarul. Saiful stabbed them too and fled.
 
Eyewitnesses said,  Ibrahim Ali abused his mother, Nasiran Bewa, over the mangoes he had picked from the tree in the house. When his brother Ziyarul protested, an argument broke out between the two. As a result, Saiful attacked his uncle at night.
 
Sundarganj Police Station OC  Abdul Hakim Azad said, "Police inspected the scene immediately after the incident. The body has been sent to the morgue for autopsy. Police operations are continuing to arrest those involved in the incident.
