The Barguna Circuit House ground buzzed with scientific exploration and student enthusiasm as the Barguna Science Society hosted the 6th Space Camp 2026 on Monday.
BNP Vice Chairman and Member of Parliament for Barguna-2, Alhaj Nurul Islam Moni, officially inaugurated the day-long event as the chief guest. During the program, financial support on behalf of the Chief Whip was presented to the Barguna Science Society by Shafiquzzaman Mahfuz, former organizing secretary of Barguna District BNP and chairman of the No. 10 Noltona Union Parishad.
Designed to foster scientific inquisitiveness and inspire interest in space science and modern technology among students, the camp featured telescopic stargazing, robotics exhibitions, 4D film screenings, and mobile science displays, alongside a science debate competition and a science olympiad.
Several prominent scientific organizations and institutions participated in the event, including the National Museum of Science and Technology, Rajashi University Science Society, Jashore's JCB Science Club, and Dhaka-based Robodemi. A major highlight of the exhibition was "Shunya," a unique innovation created by the Barguna Science Society, alongside other practical technological solutions aimed at addressing everyday challenges.
Organizers expressed optimism that such hands-on educational initiatives will significantly encourage science education, space research, and technological literacy among the younger generation.
