CI sheet, cash distributed among 36 fire-affected families in Bauphal

Corrugated iron sheets and cash have been distributed among 36 families affected by a recent fire in Bauphal upazila under the initiative of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief.
Each affected family received two bundles of corrugated tin sheets and Tk. 3,000 in cash as government assistance.
On Wednesday morning (July 29) around 11:00 AM, a distribution event was held at the Upazila Parishad premises. Local Member of Parliament Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud attended the program as the chief guest and handed over the assistance to the affected families, with UNO. Saleh Ahmed presiding over the event.
Speaking as the chief guest, Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud stated that the government always stands beside people affected by disasters. He assured that necessary government support will continue to help affected families quickly return to normal life and urged everyone to remain vigilant in confronting disasters.
Among others present at the event were Upazila Project Implementation Officer Rafiqul Islam, Upazila BNP Member Secretary Apel Mahmud Firoz, Upazila Jamaat Amir Maulana Rafiqul Islam, alongside administrative officials, public representatives, and local dignitaries. The recipient families expressed their gratitude to the government upon receiving the aid.
Later at around 12:00 PM, MP Masud attended another program as chief guest at the Upazila Parishad auditorium, presided over by UNO Saleh Ahmed, where he distributed special financial grant checks of BDT 10,000 each to 50 insolvent families from the Ministry of Social Welfare.
