Memo submitted to UNO demanding modern passenger shed, toilet in Godagari

Locals have submitted a memorandum demanding the construction of a modern passenger shed, bus bay, public toilet, and a permanent police box along the Rajshahi-Chapainawabganj highway at Godagari upazila sadar.
Representatives of the "Godagari Samajik Sangathan Oikya Parishad" and its affiliated organizations submitted the memorandum to Godagari UNO Israt Jahan on Thursday morning.
The organization's core demands include reconstructing a durable passenger shed in place of the demolished structure, building a standard bus bay for safe boarding, setting up accessible public toilets at the Dyingpara intersection, establishing a permanent police box, and ensuring adequate LED lighting, seating, and pedestrian crossings.
Led by Godagari Samajik Sangathan Oikya Parishad President Rezaul Karim Jewel, the delegation included local organizational leaders and representatives. The signatories expressed hope that the administration would take prompt steps to address public suffering and improve road communication in the upazila.
