Coast Guard medical team rescued ill passenger on Dhaka-bound launch

Responding to a call on its emergency helpline, the Bangladesh Coast Guard provided medical assistance to an ailing female passenger aboard a Dhaka-bound launch on Monday evening.
Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Sabbir Alam Sujon said this in a press release on Tuesday morning.
According to Coast Guard officials, a man boarded the launch MV Imam Hasan with his sick daughter from Chandpur at around 7:00 PM on September 7, bound for Dhaka to seek advanced medical treatment. At approximately 8:30 PM, as the vessel reached the Dharmaganj area near Fatullah Police Station in Narayanganj, the patient's physical condition deteriorated sharply. Her father immediately dialed the Coast Guard emergency hotline (16111) requesting urgent medical intervention.
Upon receiving the alert, a medical team from Coast Guard Station Pagla boarded the launch and rendered essential emergency treatment.
Following initial stabilization, the medical team escorted the patient from Sadarghat launch terminal to Sir Salimullah Medical College Hospital via CNG auto-rickshaw for comprehensive care.
