Coast Guard medical team rescues critically ill launch passenger near Chandpur

Bangladesh Coast Guard personnel rendered emergency medical assistance to an unconscious passenger aboard a Dhaka-bound launch following a distress call received on their emergency hotline 16111.
Lieutenant Commander Sabbir Alam Sujon, Media Officer of the Coast Guard, confirmed the rescue operation on Saturday afternoon, stating that the incident occurred aboard the passenger launch MV Farhan-3 near Harina Ferry Ghat in Chandpur.
According to official reports, the launch departed Dhaka Sadarghat for Bhola at 6:30 pm on Friday. Around 11:00 pm, a female passenger lost consciousness due to severe convulsive seizures. A fellow passenger immediately dialed the Coast Guard emergency helpline 16111 requesting urgent medical intervention.
In response, a medical team equipped with oxygen cylinders from Coast Guard Station Chandpur dispatched a speed boat to intercept the vessel. Following initial stabilization and emergency care on board, Coast Guard personnel transferred the patient via service craft to Harina Ferry Ghat, from where she was transported under official supervision by ambulance to Chandpur Sadar Hospital for advanced treatment.
