State Minister for Textiles and Jute Md. Shariful Alam has commented that there is a connection between one group going on a long march and saying they will push the government out in December, and another group saying that a degenerate dictatorship will return in December in another country.
He made these remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a protest rally and procession organized by Narsingdi District BNP on Monday afternoon.

BNP Joint Secretary General and MP for Narsingdi-1 Sadar constituency Khairul Kabir Khokon presided over the rally.
Later, a protest procession took place from there and circled various streets of the city. Leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliated organizations participated in it.
The State Minister further said at the rally, "You are the ones who say there is no oil, yet you are the ones who hold road marches with hundreds of cars, then there is no shortage of oil. You say you will push us away, oust us from power. From today's meeting, I want to say that we, the nationalist party, are working for the welfare of the people, for the happiness and peace of the people, and for overall development, including law and order situation."
Also present at the rally were District BNP Vice President Tofazzal Hossain Master, VP Jalil, Abu Saleh Chowdhury, AKM Golam Kabir Kamal, Rabiul Islam Robi, Joint General Secretary Mohsin Hossain Bidyut and other BNP leaders and activists.
