Discussion, award distribution, prayers held on Eid-e- Miladunnabi in Barguna

On the occasion of the holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi (PBUH) 2026 AD and 1448 Hijri, a discussion meeting, award distribution and prayer mahfil on the life and ideals of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) were held in Barguna.
The event was organized by the district administration and in collaboration with the Islamic Foundation and Sirat Academy Barguna on Wednesday at the Barguna District Shilpakala Academy auditorium.
Chief Whip and MP from Barguna-2 constituency Md. Nurul Islam Moni was virtually present as the chief guest at the event. MP from Barguna-1 constituency Maulana Mahmudul Hossain Oliullah was virtually present as the guest of honor. Barguna Deputy Commissioner Taslima Akhter presided over the event.
Barguna Police Superintendent Md. Qudrat-e-Khuda (PPM-Service) and Civil Surgeon Dr. Mohammad Abul Fattah were present as special guests.
At the discussion, the speakers highlighted the ideals of equality, peace, humanity, and justice of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and called for establishing peace and harmony in society by learning from his life.
After the discussion, prizes were distributed among the winners of various competitions. Later, special prayers and supplications were held for the peace and prosperity of the country, nation and Muslim Ummah. A large number of religious people, including officials and employees of the district administration, members of the Islamic Foundation, Sirat Academy, representatives of various government and private organizations, were present at the event.
