Organized by the Faridpur Nazrul Parishad, a discussion and cultural program titled “Nazrul in July Spirit” was held in Faridpur.
The program took place on Tuesday evening at the District Council Auditorium, presided over by the President of Faridpur Nazrul Parishad, Professor Md. Matiar Rahman. The chief guest, renowned educator and researcher Professor M.A. Samad, delivered a speech.
Other distinguished participants included the founding president of Faridpur Nazrul Parishad and editor of Dainik Fatehabad, Professor A.B.M. Sattar; educator and Nazrul researcher Professor Sirajul Islam; and PP of Faridpur Judge Court, Advocate Ali Ashraf Nannu.
Following the discussion, poems of Kazi Nazrul Islam were recited, and musical performances were presented by Papiya Sultana, Sharif Mahmud Suhan, Tamanna Akter, Bibhuti Baidya, and other artists.
At the beginning of the program, a one-minute silence was observed to pray for the souls of all martyrs of the July Mass Uprising.
