DU Curzon Hall hosts workshop on  'Foot Pressure  Scan to Prevent Diabetics Amputation

A workshop on. `Foot Pressure Scan to Prevent Diabetic Amputation' was held at Curzon Hall today, Sunday at the joint initiative of the Department of Biomedical Physics and Technology, Dhaka University, and Bybit Limited. The workshop was inaugurated by Professor Dr. Abdus Salam, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education), Dhaka University, as the chief guest.

The function was presided over by the Departmental Chairman, Prof Dr. K. M. Talha Nahyan, and Dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof  Dr. Md. Mofazzal Hossain, spoke as a special guest. Honorary Professor Dr. Khondaker Siddique-e Rabbani, President of BYBIT, delivered the welcome address. Dr. Rashedul Islam of BIRDEM Hospital and Dr. S. M. Imran Shoaib of CRP gave presentations on the use of technology to prevent 'diabetic amputation'. 38 medical personnel from various hospitals and institutes participated in the workshop.

Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Prof Dr. Abdus Salam said, "The benefits of the Dynamic Pedograph device must be brought to the doorsteps of the common people. Everyone must work from their respective positions to create public awareness about the use of this device."
