DU Inter-Department Basketball Tournament begins

The Dhaka University Inter-Department Basketball Tournament began yesterday, Thursday at the university gymnasium. Dhaka University Pro-Vice Chancellor (Admin) and President of the Sports Board, Prof Dr. Saima Haque Bidisha, inaugurated the tournament as the chief guest.
At the inaugural ceremony, Acting Director of the Physical Education Centre S. M. Zakaria, along with teachers and students from various departments and institutes, were present.
Notably, players from 40 departments and institutes are participating in this 10-day-long tournament. In the opening match, the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism defeated the Department of Accounting by a score of 28-14.
