DU launches website for Int'l Centenary Conference

Dhaka University (DU) Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Prof Dr. Abdus Salam inaugurated the official website for the Professor Md. Ali Nawab International Centenary Conference-2026 on Tuesday.
The conference, organized by DU's Department of Chemistry to commemorate the 100th birth anniversary of eminent chemist Professor Md. Ali Nawab, is titled "Advances in Surface Chemistry & Colloidal Science" and will take place on November 26, 2026, at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Building. The newly launched website (www.manicc2026.du.ac.bd) provides key details on the scientific program, invited speakers, abstract submissions, and registration dates.
The event will bring together researchers and academics from Bangladesh, the US, Europe, India, Nepal, and Iraq. Sponsored by Prof Nawab's family, the program features tributes from former colleagues and students, including geneticist Dr. Abed Chowdhury and Professor Emeritus Dr. Tajmeri S. A. Islam. Senior university officials and faculty members, including Chemistry Department Chairperson Prof Dr. Farida Begum, were present.
