A fire broke out at a drug store in Gafargaon, Mymensingh, and it was completely destroyed. The incident took place in the Kacharipara Bazar, Charamchaland.
According to the fire service, the shop owner and local sources, on Wednesday (July 23) when Muazzin Arif Mia went to the mosque to give the Fajr call to prayer at the Kacharipara Bazar Jame Mosque and saw a fire in the Azizul Medical Hall. By the time he sent the news, the fire had spread. All the medicines and other equipment inside the shop were burnt to ashes.
However, drug store owner Azizul Haque claims that the damage will be at least Tk 15 lakh more.
Gafargaon Fire Service Station Officer Delwar Hossain said that the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage have not yet been determined.
