Football Match held in Chilmari as part of healthy entertainment

A football tournament organized by the young generation of Balabarihat was held at the Balabarihat BL High School মাঠ in Thanahat Union of Chilmari Upazila, Kurigram District onSaturday noon as part of healthy entertainment.
The final match of the Football Tournament 2026 was played between Ramna Sonaripara Football XI and Balabarihat Sohag Lighting Football XI.
At the beginning of the event, the national anthem was performed, followed by a parade and march-past by students from various educational institutions. After the parade, the football match officially began.
The chief guest at the event was Mosa. Parvin Akter Parul, a candidate for the position of Chairman of Thanahat Union Parishad.
Among the special guests was Md. Lal Mia, Chairman of Lia Interior & Furniture, along with respected local residents and members of the youth community.
Speaking on the occasion, special guest Lal Mia said, “Serving people is my goal. As part of this commitment, this football tournament has been organized so that the young generation does not become involved in drugs.”
Chief guest Parvin Akter Parul said that the current young generation is increasingly becoming attracted to drugs. She emphasized the need for football matches and other forms of healthy entertainment to protect young people, teenagers and students from drug addiction.
