Gopalganj’s Bronze Jewelry gets GI Certification as Second GI Product

The event was held at the Foreign Service Academy in Dhaka. The certificate was presented by Mostafa Sarwar Faruqi, Advisor to the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, and Adilur Rahman Khan, Advisor to the Ministry of Industries.
The ceremony, held at the Foreign Service Academy on Bailey Road in Dhaka, was organized by the Department of Patents, Designs, and Trademarks (DPDT) under the Ministry of Industries.Senior officials from various ministries, DPDT officials, and media personnel from electronic and print media were present at the event.The recognition of Gopalganj’s bronze jewelry as the district’s second GI product on an international level has been widely celebrated. The district’s civil society leaders, along with people from all walks of life, have extended their congratulations and best wishes to District Administrator (Joint Secretary) Muhammad Kamruzzaman, all officials of the district administration, and those involved in the production of bronze jewelry.
