Land Minister Md. Mizanur Rahman Minu, MP, said, the current democratic government has placed the highest priority on the education and health sectors, assuring that the government's full support will remain steadfast in developing the health sector.

The minister made these remarks while addressing the audience as the chief guest at the concluding ceremony of a three-day cardiac screening and treatment program for children and young students aged 3 to 18 on Friday.

Held from July 22 to 24 at the Rajshahi National Heart Foundation, the initiative was jointly organized by the National Heart Foundation of Rajshahi, the Pediatric Cardiology Department of China's Fuwai Yunnan Cardiovascular Hospital, and the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD), Dhaka.

Recalling the historical ties between Bangladesh and China, the Land Minister noted that former Prime Minister Shaheed Ziaur Rahman initiated friendship with China, and this relationship has reached new heights through the current Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's visit to China.

Highlighting infrastructure development, the chief guest announced that a special project will be undertaken to widen the connecting road leading to the Heart Foundation from the Court-Natore Road, directing the Rajshahi City Corporation and the Rajshahi Development Authority (RDA) to take necessary measures. He also assured a special grant allocation from the Ministry of Health for the second phase of development of the National Heart Foundation.

Presided over by Rajshahi National Heart Foundation President Md. Abdul Mannan, the event was attended by Fuwai Yunnan Cardiovascular Hospital Deputy Director-in-Charge and expert team leader Lu Jiang, Divisional Commissioner Dr. A.N.M. Bazlul Rashid, RMP Commissioner Mohammad Foyzul Kabir, Deputy Commissioner Kazi Shahidul Islam, NICVD Departmental Head and National Heart Foundation Life Member Professor Dr. Md. Ataul Haque, National Heart Foundation Hospital and Research Institute Chief Consultant and Director Professor Dr. Md. Rois Uddin, and foundation vice-presidents Md. Hasen Ali and Md. Maksudul Karim Samrat, alongside physicians, social workers, political leaders, and journalists.
