State Minister for Youth and Sports Md Aminul Haque on Thursday said the present government has undertaken various plans to make the country's youth and future generations self-reliant.

"Ensuring employment for the next generation was a key pledge in the current government's election manifesto. We have already formulated various action plans to make our youth and their families self-reliant, and implementation has begun," he said.

The minister made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a training inauguration ceremony of the Freelancing Training Project in Bhola District Shilpakala Academy auditorium in the afternoon.

The state minister called for unity against destabilizing forces. "Collaborators of the autocratic regime are still creating chaos in different places with local support. We must work together to suppress this disorder for the sake of our country," he said.

He criticized the previous administration, stating that over the past 17 years, the former regime worked only for self-enrichment without delivering genuine public development, whereas the current government has actively pursued its election pledges over the last seven months.

Organized by E-Learning and Earning Limited with support from the Department of Youth Development and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the free training program will benefit 11,200 trainees nationwide, including 175 participants from Bhola.

Presided over by Bhola Deputy Commissioner Dr. Shamim Rahman, the program was attended by Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Md. Mahbub-Ul-Alam, Joint Secretary Dr. Shaikh Mohammad Zubayed Hossain, Bhola Zila Parishad Administrator and District BNP Convener Golam Nabi Alamgir, among others.

Following the discussion, the state minister distributed laptops and mobile phones among top-performing freelancers.
