Gross negligence of duty: Moulvibazar Civil Surgeon Dr. Mamunur Rahman 8may be withdrawn as minister dissatisfied

Dr. Md. Mamunur Rahman, who has been the civil surgeon of Moulvibazar district for a long time and has sparked many controversies, is finally having to bid farewell to Moulvibazar district.
Minister Ariful Haque Chowdhury has ordered the immediate withdrawal of the top official of the district's health department by Monday.
The minister gave this instruction at a view-sharing meeting on law and order and development coordination in Moulvibazar at the Deputy Commissioner's conference room on Sunday (September 26) afternoon.
Earlier, Labor, Employment and Expatriates' Welfare Minister Ariful Haque Chowdhury spoke to the concerned minister directly over the phone from the view-exchange meeting to withdraw the civil surgeon on charges of negligence in his duties. At that time, the minister of the concerned ministry confirmed the withdrawal of the civil surgeon by Monday.
The meeting on law and order and development coordination in the district was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Touhiduzzaman Pavel.
The exchange of views was attended by District Council Administrator Mizanur Rahman, Member of Parliament for Baralekha-Juri constituency Nasir Uddin Mithu, Member of Parliament for Moulvibazar-4 (Kamalganj-Sreemangal) constituency Haji Mujibur Rahman Chowdhury, along with district BNP leaders, officials from various departments, journalists and high-ranking officials of the administration.
Ariful Haque Chowdhury, district's in-charge minister, attended the coordination meeting as the chief guest, but found many department officials absent. He expressed his anger over their absence and warned of taking necessary action. He made it clear that the government would not tolerate any negligence or irregularities in ensuring public healthcare. He directed the concerned authorities to withdraw Civil Surgeon Dr. Mamunur Rahman from his duties by Monday and ensure that administrative action is taken.
