If they try to back old politics of terror, consequences will be like Hasina : Nahid Islam
Nilphamari Correspondent
National Citizens Party (NCP) Convener Nahid Islam said, we were expecting a lot after the July mass uprising. But all our hopes were not fulfilled. We still think that our fight will have to continue. We see that the old system and culture have started again.
An attempt has been made to bring back the old culture. He said with a hoosier that those who carried out the July Uprising are still awake, still on the streets. If anyone thinks that they will bring back the old politics of occupation and terror, then their fate will be like that of Hasina's dictatorship.
He said these at a road meeting organized at Chowrangi intersection in Nilphamari district town on the third day of the July march at 2:30 pm on Thursday.
Nahid Islam said, all the martyrs are our inspiration. These people gave their lives for a beautiful and prosperous Bangladesh. In which there will be no economic inequality in Bangladesh. In which there will be no regional inequality in Bangladesh. In which Bangladesh will be able to express their opinions and speak freely. The common people will get the right to rice. They will get the right to education, medical care and employment.
Our sons and daughters have given their lives for such a Bangladesh. He said that if a seventh- grade boy can go out on the street and stand in front of the police bullets, then we who are alive Can't they form a new Bangladesh? We must build a beautiful and dream-free Bangladesh in exchange for the lives of the young boys who gave their lives. We remember the rebellion of Abu Sayeed, a farmer's son from Rangpur, Rubel Islam, a seventh-grade student from Nilphamari, and Sajjad Hossain from Syedpur. They accelerated the mass uprising of 24 by taking bullets in their chests and sacrificing their lives. We dream of building a new Bangladesh by holding that history in our hearts.
Nahid Islam said that if all the demands were fulfilled after the mass uprising, then we would not have had to form a political party. But we see that it has been a year. No demands are being fulfilled. Only a carrot is being dangled in front of us by saying that there will be elections. We will not believe in such a deception. We definitely want elections. We want an elected government. However, those who killed Sheikh Hasina and their accomplices who are hiding in every part of Bangladesh today must be arrested and brought to justice. To bring Sheikh Hasina to the country and bring her to justice Will be. Until Sheikh Hasina is tried, the fire that has been burning in the hearts of the martyr's family will never be extinguished. He also said that fundamental reforms must be made, we must move towards elections through reforms. Bangladesh needs a new constitution. The Awami League and Mujibist constitutions must be thrown out. There is no point in keeping a constitution that is not the people's constitution.
Maintained by the chief organizer of the northern region, Sarjis Alam, the chief Organizer, Southern Region Hasnat Abdullah and the joint chief organizer, Northern Region, Abu Sayed Lyon addressed the meeting. The senior joint convener of the Jatiya Nagorik Party, Samantha Sharmin, senior joint member secretary Dr. Tasneem Zara, along with central and local leaders, were present at the time.
Earlier, on the third day of the July Uprising anniversary, the National Citizens Party (NCP)'s July March to Build the Country began at 12 noon with a visit to the grave of Shaheed Sajjad Hossain, a student movement against discrimination, at Hatikhana graveyard in Saidpur upazila of Nilphamari. Shaheed Sajjad Hossain's father Alamgir Hossain led the prayers at the grave.
After the visit, NCP leaders talked to Sajjad's family.
