 An inter-ministerial preparatory meeting was held today to lay out national plans for observing Martyred Intellectuals Day and Victory Day 2026 with due dignity and solemnity.

Liberation War Affairs Minister Ahmed Ajam Khan, MP, presided over the meeting held at the conference room of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs on Tuesday morning.

During the meeting, officials presented and discussed the draft national programs for both days. Planned events include placing wreaths at the Martyred Intellectuals Memorial in Mirpur, the Rayerbazar Killing Ground Memorial, and the National Martyrs' Memorial in Savar; hoisting the national flag on public and private buildings; publishing special newspaper supplements; organizing discussion meetings; holding special prayers at religious institutions; and staging Liberation War-based cultural events.

The meeting focused heavily on maintaining law and order, security arrangements, traffic management, and venue preparation to ensure the smooth execution of national programs. Representatives from various ministries and agencies were instructed to coordinate their respective responsibilities effectively.

The session began with opening remarks from the Secretary of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs. Senior officials from the Cabinet Division, Prime Minister's Office, Armed Forces Division, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Public Administration, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Housing and Public Works, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, and the Ministry of Cultural Affairs participated in the discussion.
