 Describing Abu Sayed as the inspiration behind the mass uprising, Mir Shahe Alam, State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives, announced a grant of one Crore Taka. This fund is designated for constructing a new house for Abu Sayed’s family, arranging accommodation for his parents, and beautifying his gravesite.

He made this announcement on Tuesday morning after visiting Abu Sayed’s home in Babunpur village, located in the Pirganj Upazila of Rangpur.

He stated, "The government is working to address the long-standing neglect and deprivation faced by the people of the northern region. Abu Sayed’s sacrifice is not merely a part of history; it serves as an inspiration for the youth, students, and the general public. 

The State Minister added, "Abu Sayed is our inspiration. His sacrifice ignited a movement among the youth, society, and the student community—a movement that drew hundreds of thousands of people across the nation to the streets."

Highlighting various government initiatives for the people of the northern region, he mentioned plans to implement programs such as family cards, farmer cards, honorariums for Imams and Muezzins, health cards, canal excavation, employment generation, and the development of sports facilities.

Speaking about preserving the memory of the martyred Abu Sayed, the State Minister remarked, "Abu Sayed is a hero of the mass uprising. We want to ensure his legacy is widely recognized and honored."

He informed that the announced one crore Taka for home development and graveyard beautification would be utilized through the district administration, adding that he had instructed the Deputy Commissioner to prepare the necessary designs. The State Minister also expressed an interest in renaming the Rangpur Stadium after Martyr Abu Sayed.

State Minister Mir Shahe Alam arrived in Rangpur on Tuesday for a one-day visit. Extensive programs were organized in connection with his visit. These included paying respects at the grave of Shaheed Abu Sayed, inspecting the road development work between Bardargaon in Pirganj and Vendabari, attending a meeting on law and order in Rangpur district.
