
Land, road dispute resolved in Kathalia by Jhalakathi's humane assistant judge

A dispute over land and a pathway between an uncle and his nephew in Ward No. 3 of Amua Union at Kathalia has been resolved through the mediation of Jhalakathi's Assistant Judge.
On Sunday, May 11, at 12 PM, Jhalakathi's humane Assistant Judge Md. Arif Hossain facilitated the resolution at the disputed land site near Amua Anech Kari’s Madrasa.
It is learnt that a long-standing dispute over land and a pathway existed between Md. A. Rashid, son of Hasan Ali, and his nephew Riyazul, son of A. Salam, both from Amua village. Due to this conflict, A. Rashid filed a partition lawsuit in Jhalakathi Court, naming his nephew and others as defendants. After years of legal proceedings, Jhalakathi's humane Assistant Judge Md. Arif Hossain took the initiative to mediate and resolved the dispute on-site.
Riyazul, the nephew, stated, “There was a long-standing dispute with my uncle over land and the pathway. Jhalakathi's Assistant Judge Md. Arif Hossain came and resolved it. There is no dispute between us anymore.”
Assistant Judge Md. Arif Hossain of Jhalakathi said, “I visited the site in Ward No. 3 of Amua Union and mediated the dispute over land and a pathway between the uncle and nephew, successfully resolving it.”
