National Vitamin “A” Plus Campaign inaugurated at Pulbari

Like the rest of the country, the National Vitamin “A” Plus Campaign-2026 has been inaugurated in Fulbari Upazila of Kurigram. The official inauguration of the campaign was held at the Fulbari Upazila Health Complex on Sunday morning.
Under this campaign, blue colored vitamin “A” capsules are being fed to children aged 6-11 months and red colored vitamin “A” capsules to children aged 12-59 months.
The inaugural ceremony, presided over by Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Nardev Roy, was attended by Upazila Health Complex Resident Medical Officer (RMO) Dr. Hafizul Islam, Medical Officer Dr. Abdullah Al Nahid Bulbul, Gynecologist Consultant Dr. Mosa. Rujina Akhter, Amir of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Phulbari Upazila Branch Abdul Malek, Upazila National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener Nazmul Ferdous (Lablu), Upazila Student and Jubo Dal former president Shamsuzzaman Hasu, health department officials, leaders of various political and social organizations, and local dignitaries.
Speakers at the event said that the National Vitamin “A” Plus Campaign plays an important role in preventing malnutrition and various health risks due to vitamin “A” deficiency in children. Therefore, they urged parents to be aware and feed vitamin “A” capsules to every child of the prescribed age.
