Criminals have once again become reckless in Bangladesh under the guise of political identity. Moin and his associates of the Jubo Dal have killed a scrap dealer, Sohag, by hitting his head with a stone for not paying a bribe in Mitford in the capital. As a result, this matter once again proves that this is a shining example of how criminals become reckless under the guise of political identity.

The shooting and leg-severing of Jubo Dal leader Mahbub in Khulna highlights the horrific form of violence in our political environment.

The incident of Maulana Nurur Rahman, the Imam of a mosque in Chandpur, being stabbed and injured after Friday prayers by a person who was participating in the same prayer on charges of 'insulting religion' is a dangerous form of religious fanaticism and radical mentality. Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) President Mohammad Shah Alam and General Secretary Ruhin Hossain Prince made these remarks in a statement on Saturday, expressing strong condemnation and deep concern over the recent series of brutal killings and violent incidents in Dhaka, Khulna and Chandpur.

The leaders said that these three incidents have highlighted the country's social and political crisis. This shows how much violence, impunity and extremism have engulfed our society.
The statement called on the government to take a proactive role in controlling the law and order situation in the country.
The leaders also said in the statement that a fair, impartial and speedy investigation of all these incidents must be ensured immediately. Those involved must be arrested immediately and given exemplary punishment. The law and order forces and the Home Ministry must play an effective and responsible role. At the same time, the creation of space for terrorism and crime within political parties must be stopped.

The leaders said that such barbarity will not stop unless justice and social security are ensured. The statement called on the country's conscious people to take to the streets to resist violence and protect life and property.

It is worth noting that Lal Chand was brutally murdered in broad daylight on a busy road in front of Mitford (Sir Salimullah Medical College) Hospital last Wednesday. Before the murder, he was called, beaten, and hit with bricks and stones, crushing his head and various parts of his body. At one stage, he was stripped naked. Some people jumped on his body. CCTV footage of the incident, the case file, the descriptions of the relatives and witnesses of the deceased Lal Chand, and the descriptions of the people involved in the investigation have revealed such a description of the murder.

The video footage of this murder has been seen by several crores of people in Bangladesh and a terrible situation has been created among the people. In the incident, Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that all those involved in the murder of Lal Chand alias Sohag (39), a scrap metal trader, in front of Mitford Hospital in the capital have been brought under the law. The advisor said that 5 people have been arrested in the incident.

The Home Affairs Advisor made this statement while briefing reporters after visiting the Dhaka District Police Lines, Range Reserve Force (RRF) and Traffic and Driving School (TDS) at Mill Barracks in Old Dhaka on Saturday afternoon. The advisor said, "The police are taking immediate action in such incidents not only in Mitford but across the country. However, the Mitford incident is very sad. Such an incident can never be expected in a civilized country."

Lal Chand's body was taken from Dhaka to Barguna by his relatives on Friday morning. He was buried next to his mother's grave in Islampur village of Dhalua Union No. 7 of Sadar Upazila.
The relatives told this correspondent that they are suffering from insecurity. Since the murder, people have been threatening the killers on their mobile phones. Lal Chand's 10-year-old son Sohan and 14-year-old daughter Sohana. His wife Lucky Begum (30) does not know how to comfort these two school-going children! Meanwhile, civil society has expressed deep concern over the increase in mob violence, public beatings, kidnappings, and extortion in Bangladesh. National Election Monitoring Organization Janipop Chairman Professor Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah told this reporter, "Society has deteriorated. The people of the country are terrified by mob violence, and extortion, kidnapping, and rape have broken records. I think that if a democratic government system is introduced in Bangladesh through elections, it may end." Jamaat-e-Islami has called a press conference on Sunday on the incident of beating and killing of Lan Chan Sohag of Midford. The Bangladesh Workers Party has expressed strong condemnation and anger. The leaders of the Left Alliance said that not only Old Dhaka, Khulna and Chandpur, but the entire country is in the grip of terror today.

The government is talking about strict suppression, while many of the advisors and press secretaries are taking the strategy of downplaying these incidents, hiding them and sometimes shifting blame. As a result, the horror of terrorism is increasing due to the lack of effective measures. In the statement, the leaders said that the countrymen are terrified after seeing one brutal murder after another. In the statement, the leaders said that effective steps should be taken, not just to justify the Home Affairs Advisor. A visible role should be taken to protect lives and property.
