It is worth noting that Lal Chand was brutally murdered in broad daylight on a busy road in front of Mitford (Sir Salimullah Medical College) Hospital last Wednesday. Before the murder, he was called, beaten, and hit with bricks and stones, crushing his head and various parts of his body. At one stage, he was stripped naked. Some people jumped on his body. CCTV footage of the incident, the case file, the descriptions of the relatives and witnesses of the deceased Lal Chand, and the descriptions of the people involved in the investigation have revealed such a description of the murder.

In the incident, Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that all those involved in the murder of Lal Chand alias Sohag (39), a scrap metal trader, in front of Mitford Hospital in the capital have been brought under the law. The advisor said that 5 people have been arrested in the incident.
