Rapid steps to be taken to expand services at Rangpur Medical College Hospital: Relief Minister Dulu
Rangpur Bureau
Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu, MP, has stated that swift measures will be taken to resolve existing issues and expand healthcare services at Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RMCH).
He expressed optimism that new Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds will become operational at the hospital within the next month as the shortage of anesthesiologists has been addressed.
The Minister made the remarks while briefing journalists on Saturday morning following the foundation stone laying ceremony for the service building of RMCH's Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit.
Regarding the ICU facilities, Asadul Habib Dulu noted that while the hospital currently faces a shortage of operational ICU beds due to an anesthesia crisis, the required personnel have now been arranged. He added that efforts are ongoing to make the beds fully functional within a month.
Earlier in the day, the Disaster Management and Relief Minister inaugurated the regional office of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission Secretariat in Rangpur.
