
Rescue operations end for the day at Uttara plane crash site: Fire Service

Rescue operations at the site of the Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft crash at Milestone School and College in Dhaka’s Uttara have officially concluded for today.
The Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters confirmed this.
“Our operations ended at 8:30pm,” said Shahjahan Sikder, an official at the media cell of the Fire Service and Civil Defence. “One unit remained on standby at the site until the wreckage of the crashed aircraft was cleared. The team returned to the fire station at 9:10pm.”
The devastating crash earlier in the day killed at least 20 people and left more than 171 others injured.
Rescue efforts continued throughout the day amid a heavy security presence and coordination among multiple government agencies.
