Satkhira DC stands by special needy people in Kalaroa

Vans and wheelchairs have been distributed to improve the quality of life of neglected, distressed and disabled people in Kalaroa, Satkhira. Satkhira Deputy Commissioner Ms. Kausar Aziz was present as the chief guest and distributed these relief items at a function organized by the Kalaroa Upazila Administration at the Upazila Parishad premises.
At a function held on Monday noon, the Kalaroa Upazila Parishad distributed vans to the helpless and distressed disabled people. At the same time, the Kalaroa Municipality distributed wheelchairs to the disabled people receiving services at the Sub-Registry Office and to the students with special needs of various primary schools.
Chief guest Deputy Commissioner Ms. Kausar Aziz said, "People with special needs are not a burden on society. If they are provided with appropriate support and opportunities, they will also become self-reliant.
Various local administration officials and dignitaries of the area were present at the distribution ceremony, chaired by Kalaroa Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Ariful Islam.
