State Minister Abdul Bari attends various events in Kalai

Organized by the Kalai Upazila Administration and chaired by UNO Faisal Ahmed, several development initiatives were inaugurated on Friday.
Chief Guest Abdul Bari MP, State Minister for Public Administration and Food inaugurated the 'Tree Plantation Program-2026' on the Kalai-Anwra-Moslemganj road, the 'Digital Lab established at Kalai Upazila Parishad', the 'Online Citizen Service Activities' for Kalai Municipality and all Union Parishads, and the '36 CCTV Cameras installed at various points of Kalai Municipality'.
The inauguration ceremony took place at the Upazila Parishad Auditorium (Old Building), supervised by UNO Office Administrative Officer Md. Mahbub Alam and moderated by Upazila Parishad CA S.M. Showkat.
Following this, a cattle distribution ceremony was held at the Upazila Parishad Auditorium (New Building) under a project titled 'Livelihood Improvement of Marginal Farmers, Persons with Disabilities, Underprivileged, Widows, and Husband-Deserted Women in Joypurhat District Through Income-Generating Activities in the Context of Global Pandemic'. Implemented by the Department of Social Services and Social Development Service (SDS), the session was also presided over by UNO Faisal Ahmed.
State Minister Abdul Bari MP delivered the keynote address as the Chief Guest. Ayesha Akter, Executive Director of the project, delivered the welcome speech, while Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Md. Moniruzzaman and Upazila Social Services Officer Md. Sadikur Rahman, among others, addressed the gathering.
The event was attended by former Additional Secretary and SDS Adviser A.K.M. Masuduzzaman, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Abdullah-Al-Mahbub, Kalai Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Saidul Alam, Kalai Upazila BNP Convener Md. Ibrahim Hossain and Senior Joint Convener Md. Moudud Alam Sarkar, Kalai Municipal BNP Convener Md. Sajjadur Rahman Talukder Sohel and Joint Convener Abdul Alim Sarkar, LGED Upazila Engineer Suman Kumar Debnath, Upazila Agriculture Officer Md. Harunur Rashid, Upazila Health Complex Acting Residential Medical Officer Dr. Nahid Naznin Daisy, along with officials from various departments, political figures, and local dignitaries.
At one stage of the program, Chief Guest State Minister Abdul Bari distributed heifers to 115 beneficiary families on the Shahid Minar premises of the Upazila Parishad compound.
