State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj has introduced a unique approach to ensuring qualitative changes, effective monitoring, and accountability in primary education by personally conducting three consecutive training sessions totaling six hours.

Addressing field-level education officials, he outlined the future vision of primary education, administrative reforms, and strategies to enhance learning standards.

The day-long training workshop, titled "Conducting Classroom Activities in Primary Education of Bangladesh, Monitoring, Accountability, and Changed Expectations of Local Administration," was organized by the Sylhet District Primary Education Office at the Sylhet PTI auditorium on Sunday.

Speaking as the chief guest, the State Minister stated that transforming every school into a 100 percent functional educational institution is the government’s top priority. He stressed that ground-level realities—whether related to teacher shortages, infrastructure issues, or training deficits—must be accurately identified without concealment to ensure swift solutions.

Emphasizing that a student's learning outcome should be the focal point of all state investments, Bobby Hajjaj noted that the actual knowledge acquired by children attending school matters far more than the mere construction of buildings or execution of projects.

Highlighting upcoming administrative updates, the State Minister shared that the government is working to elevate the status, capabilities, and facilities of educational officials, while simultaneously applying stricter evaluations on performance, transparency, and accountability. Furthermore, he announced plans to recruit cleaners and night guards for all government primary schools within the next year.

Addressing digital awareness and infrastructure quality, Hajjaj advised officials and teachers to exercise responsibility regarding social and mainstream media communication.

The event was attended by the Additional Director General of the Directorate of Primary Education, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education), along with all district primary education officers, assistant district primary education officers, upazila education officers, assistant upazila education officers, and UPETC instructors from the Sylhet division.
