State Minister Shama Obaed attends Nagarkanda law, order committee meet

The monthly law and order committee meeting of Nagarkanda upazila in Faridpur was held on Saturday, focusing on public safety and coordinated administrative efforts. State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaed Islam attended the event as the chief guest.
Presided over by Nagarkanda UNO Rezwana Afrin, the session took place at the Upazila Parishad auditorium at 3:00 PM.
During the meeting, stakeholders comprehensively discussed the overall law and order situation and various pressing local issues. Speakers emphasized the critical need for seamless coordination among the local administration, law enforcement agencies, and public representatives to ensure peace and maintain stability across the upazila.
Relevant department heads and committee members presented specific law and order concerns from their respective areas. Based on the open discussions and feedback from the attendees, the committee outlined necessary actionable steps to address the ongoing challenges.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner (Land) Khairul Hasan, Nagarkanda Police Circle Officer Muhammad Al Fahad, and Nagarkanda Police Station OC Rasul Samdani Azad. Upazila administration officials, Union Parishad chairmen, local political figures, freedom fighters, and civil society representatives were also present at the event.
