
Vote riggers must be declared illegal : Hasnat Abdullah

Hasnat Abdullah, Chief Organizer of the National Citizens Party (NCP) South Region, said that not even an inch of Bangladesh’s 56,000 square miles of land is frightening for them.
He said, elections conducted by land grabbers, vote riggers, and those who harm people’s lives must be declared illegal. Many had told him before his arrival that Rauzan was a stronghold of Awami League’s violence. He said, “If you still feel fear in your hearts, then you are not free.” He mentioned the fate of the oppressor and pointed out how the former MP of Rauzan was caught at the Akhaura border. He had no shortage of wealth. He is facing charges of crimes against humanity in the International Criminal Tribunal.
Those working to release and protect him from jail, no matter how powerful they are, must be taken action against. He also said that on August 5, when the movement was ongoing in Chattogram city, the highest amount of blood was supplied from Rauzan. He made these remarks at a roadside meeting held on Monday, at 4 p.m. at the Jalil Nagar Bus Station grounds in Rauzan.
